CPR Training for Gym Employees

In 2007, California introduced a law requiring all health clubs and fitness studios to implement an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program to ensure an effective emergency response for individuals participating in physical activity. According to California Health and Safety Code, Section 104113, at least one person per AED device must be certified in both AED and CPR for every five units.

CPR training for gym personnel must include instruction on the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of AEDs, as well as essential CPR techniques to handle emergency situations. Employees must be equipped to quickly assess and deliver the appropriate response. Pulse CPR’s certification programs for fitness professionals ensure that your team is fully trained to meet these vital requirements.

CPR Certification for Fitness Instructors

In addition to meeting California’s CPR certification requirements, fitness instructors must be equipped to respond effectively in emergency situations. With the high likelihood of injuries or accidents occurring in fitness centers, it’s essential that trainers are prepared to act swiftly and confidently when needed.

Pulse CPR offers personalized, small-group classes taught by skilled instructors with real-world experience. Our hands-on training ensures that fitness professionals gain the expertise to handle cardiac and respiratory emergencies and use an AED with confidence. We cover everything needed to manage a range of emergency situations, tailored specifically for fitness environments. With multiple class schedules and online options available, our CPR training for gyms is both flexible and efficient, allowing trainers to get certified quickly and effectively.

Our CPR certification for fitness trainers adheres to all industry standards and remains valid for two years. After that, a simple renewal process keeps your team up-to-date and ready to respond in any emergency.

By offering CPR training through Pulse CPR, you’re taking an important step in safeguarding your fitness center or health club. Contact us today to schedule training for your facility and ensure your team is always ready to handle any emergency.
