Yes, you can earn CPR certification through an online course. However, it’s important to note that some organizations, like the American Heart Association, require a hands-on skills assessment in addition to the online coursework for certification. Details about certification requirements can be found in your course materials.
No, this is a hybrid class. This is where you complete the online portion at home at your own convenience. Once completed you’ll come into our office for your scheduled skills check session where we test your CPR skills.
You’re able to take the online portion of the class and skills as many times as necessary until you complete them successfully. If you have questions during the skills our team will be available by email to assist you.
In the very unlikely event that you are unable to complete the hands-on skills in the hour provided, we will happily schedule you for another available time slot or move you to a traditional instructor led class at no additional charge!
The American Heart Association and the American Red Cross offer traditional CPR Classes to the general public that are conducted by a certified instructor. Participants are required to learn how to administer compressions and rescue breathing in accordance with guidelines set forth by the AHA and ARC.
While traditional CPR Classes have been taught for 50 years and have changed little throughout time. There is another certification tailor-made for Healthcare professions. It’s called BLS (Basic Life Support) which incorporates 2 person CPR. This course covers a lot more than just cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills – it also teaches skill sets such as how to help someone who’s choking and when to use an AED.
The digital component employs a dynamic learning system that adjusts its pace based on your response speed and accuracy. This segment may last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Meanwhile, the practical sessions usually last 30+ minutes, with a full hour allotted to complete the hands-on tasks.
Although online classes don’t offer the hands-on experience of practicing CPR on a mannequin, they can still effectively teach the essential knowledge and skills for performing CPR correctly. We are dedicated to providing high-quality online CPR training, led by certified instructors, to ensure you receive the best education possible.
